Stephanie Brannan, LMT to Join Forest Park Wellness in October

Forest Park Wellness is growing—and we’re excited to welcome Stephanie Brannan, LMT, as the newest member of the practice.

Over the years Forest Park Wellness founder Dennis “Kaz” Kasunic has helped clients explore health and well-being through acupuncture and Chinese medicine. With Stephanie joining the practice, Forest Park Wellness is expanding its offerings to include individualized massage and therapeutic bodywork, creating another way for clients to work with the body as part of their overall wellness.

Stephanie brings more than a decade of experience working with the body, along with extensive deep-tissue training and a distinctly curious approach to massage. A graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, she has been a licensed massage therapist since 2015. But for Stephanie, massage has never been simply about working on a sore muscle.

Listening to What the Body Communicates

Stephanie’s fascination with the body began with a simple but compelling question: Why do certain patterns keep repeating—and what becomes possible when they no longer have to? Her work with clients has led her to look beyond the immediate location of pain or tension. She has observed that the patterns expressed physically can sometimes intersect with the ways people move through their relationships, work, habits, stress, and everyday lives. That perspective informs the way Stephanie approaches bodywork. Rather than applying the same techniques to every client, she pays close attention to what the body is communicating and adapts each session accordingly.

“Individualized” is an important word here. Stephanie’s sessions are designed around what your body needs that day—not around a predetermined sequence of techniques. Depending on the client and their goals, her bodywork may incorporate deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, craniosacral work, Shiatsu, Tui Na, somatic awareness practices, cupping, gua sha, polarity and energy work, aromatherapy, hot stones, relaxation techniques, and more. Every session begins with time for intake and assessment, giving Stephanie an opportunity to understand what you’re experiencing and determine how best to approach the work.

Massage for More Than “Just a Massage”

Stephanie works with people seeking relief from tension and discomfort, greater freedom of movement, focused deep-tissue work, or simply a greater sense of being at home in their bodies. A 60-minute therapeutic massage can be ideal for focused treatment, acute concerns, or regular maintenance. A 90-minute session provides more time to address multiple areas or allow for deeper, more comprehensive work. For clients with more complex or long-standing patterns—or those who simply prefer a slower, more spacious experience—a 120-minute session allows additional time for full-body work and a more unhurried pace.

She also offers REVERB, a unique 60-minute somatic bodywork session paired with seven days of voice-note integration support. The intention is to create a bridge between what happens during bodywork and what may continue to emerge after a client leaves the table.

That offering reflects something central to Stephanie’s philosophy: sometimes the body responds to skilled hands, and sometimes the experience of paying attention to the body opens the door to something else.

A Collaborative Approach

Stephanie describes her approach as observant, curious, and collaborative. She isn’t interested in telling clients who they should become or assigning a predetermined meaning to their experiences. Instead, she pays attention, asks questions, and works with each person to notice what may be happening beneath the surface. That makes her work a particularly natural addition to Forest Park Wellness, where the emphasis has always been on individualized care and helping people understand their own bodies rather than simply treating a symptom in isolation.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic muscular tension, looking for focused therapeutic or deep-tissue massage, recovering from physical activity, or simply want to give yourself some time and attention, Stephanie brings years of hands-on experience and a thoughtful, individualized approach to the table. And sometimes, that is exactly where meaningful change begins.

Stephanie will be available by appointment beginning in October – currently for Monday sessions only. Availability will expand to include additional days soon. To schedule an appointment in advance with Stephanie call (503) 272-6646.

End-of-Summer Wellness: When Your Body Needs a Chance to Catch UpThe end of summer can be a good time to pause and notice what months of activity, travel, changing routines, and everyday stress may have been asking of your body. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine offer individualized approaches to supporting relaxation, recovery, healthy sleep, and the body's ability to adapt as we move into a new season.
